About Growtriz

A job board built around one uncomfortable idea: most of what makes job hunting miserable is a choice someone made.

Why this exists

Job hunting is a numbers game played on someone else's terms. You send fifty applications into a void. Most are never opened. The ones that are get rejected by a filter you never saw, for a salary that was never published, at a company whose actual work you had to guess at.

None of that is inevitable. It is a set of defaults, and defaults can be changed.

What we do differently

  • Salary ranges are required. Every listing on Growtriz shows what the role pays. A range you would be embarrassed to publish is a range you should not be offering.
  • Match scores are explainable. When we say a role is a 78% fit, you can open it and see exactly which skills matched, which did not, and how much each one counted. No model decides your outcome without showing its work.
  • Applications have a real status. Viewed means viewed. Shortlisted means shortlisted. When a role goes quiet, the tracker says so rather than pretending.
  • Privacy is enforced in the database. If you hide your current employer, the API never sends it — there is no UI toggle quietly guarding data that already left the server.

What we refuse to do

  • Charge candidates. Not for applying, not for visibility, not for a “premium” badge.
  • Auto-reject anyone on a model's say-so. Scores rank and explain; a person decides.
  • Rank candidates on age, gender, name, photograph, or where they went to school. The matching engine never receives those fields.
  • Sell your profile to recruiters you have not chosen to be visible to.

How we make money

Employers pay to post and to reach candidates at volume. That is the entire model. It means our incentive is to make hiring work — not to keep you scrolling, and not to sell your attention to whoever bids highest.

Where we are honest about limits

We cannot make a company reply to you. We cannot verify every claim in every listing, though we do verify companies and moderate reports. And matching, however carefully weighted, is still a heuristic — it is a starting point for your judgement, never a substitute for it.
