Answers to what people actually ask. If yours is not here, write to us.
Applying for jobs
How do I apply?
Open a job and choose Apply. Pick a resume, answer any screening questions, and add a cover letter if the employer asks for one. You can save a partial application as a draft and finish it later — nothing is lost if you close the tab.
What does my application status actually mean?
Applied means it was received. Viewed means a recruiter opened it. Shortlisted, interview, offer, and hired follow the employer's own pipeline. If an employer never opens your application, the status stays at Applied — we do not invent progress that has not happened.
Can I withdraw an application?
No. Once submitted, an application stays with the employer so your resume and history remain available to them. If you are no longer interested, let the employer know when they contact you.
Why is a job showing a match percentage?
It compares your profile against the role: skills carry the most weight, then title, experience, location, salary, and employment type. Open the breakdown on any job to see exactly which of your skills matched and which the role wanted but your profile does not list.
Does a low match score stop me applying?
No. It is guidance, never a gate. Apply for anything you want — the score is there to help you spend your time well, not to decide for you.
Your profile and resume
What file types can I upload?
PDF, DOC, and DOCX, up to 5 MB. PDF is safest: it renders the same everywhere, and most employer systems read it cleanly.
Can I have more than one resume?
Yes. Keep several and choose which one to send with each application — a resume aimed at the role usually reads better than one aimed at everything.
Who can see my profile?
Whoever you allow. In privacy settings you can be visible to all recruiters, visible only to companies you applied to, or hidden entirely. You can also hide your current employer and your contact details separately.
Will my current employer find out I am looking?
Privacy settings let you hide your current company and turn off recruiter search. To limit discovery, set your profile visibility to hidden or companies you applied to. A company you apply to can still see the information you submit with that application.
Hiring on Growtriz
How do I post a job?
Create an employer account, add your company, then use the posting wizard. Every listing needs a salary range — that is not optional on Growtriz.
Why is my job "awaiting review"?
Jobs from unverified companies are checked by a moderator before going live, usually within a business day. Verify your company and future listings publish immediately.
Can candidates see my internal notes?
Never. Notes, ratings, tags, and internal screening scores are visible only to your hiring team. The candidate-facing API strips them out before the response is built.
What does the match score do for me?
It orders your applicant list and shows you which requirements each person meets. It never rejects anyone automatically — that decision stays with you, which is both a legal and an ethical requirement.
Account and security
I forgot my password.
Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page. We send a reset link valid for one hour. For your safety, the response is identical whether or not an account exists at that address.
How do I sign out everywhere?
Security settings lists your active sessions with their device and last activity, and lets you sign out other devices individually. Use Sign out everywhere in account settings to end all sessions, including the device you are using.
How can I protect my account?
Use a strong password that you do not reuse on other sites, and review active sessions in security settings. If you suspect someone else knows your password, change it and leave Sign out of other devices selected.
How do I delete my account?
Self-service account deletion is not currently available. Use Contact support to request help with your account or personal data.
Scams and reporting
An employer asked me for money.
It is a scam. No legitimate employer charges for training, equipment, deposits, or background checks. Stop contact and report the listing — use the report link on the job page.
What happens after I report something?
It enters a moderation queue ordered by severity. A moderator reviews the content itself, not just the report, and you are told the outcome. We do not act on a single unverified flag.
A listing looks fake. How can I tell?
Check the trust page for the full list of warning signs. The most reliable are: pay far above market, an offer without an interview, pressure to decide today, and any request for money or bank details before a signed offer.
